Tala Daya (Ph.D)’s professional experience focuses on clean energy systems and on the selection of safer materials and chemistries in supply chains (green chemistry). Specifically, she studies how products can be developed in order to make them more sustainable and less hazardous to human health and the environment. Her work uses LCA to address impacts throughout all life cycle stages and incorporates a circular economy perspective.
She has worked with clients in the building, textile, home and personal care, electronics, and additive manufacturing industries. She has also worked with the U.S. Department of Energy, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and Joint Center for Artificial Photosynthesis on assessing various energy technologies. She teaches Energy Systems for Sustainability and co-teaches Supply Chain Operations and Management at the Presidio Graduate School.
