Valentina Castellani

Valentina Castellani is a consultant for sustainability and circularity of business activities, with experience in the field of Life Cycle Assessment, circular economy, and sustainability metrics.

She has been developing LCA projects since 2008, both for research institutes and private companies. During these years she had the

opportunity to gain experience on a large variety of sectors such as bio-based materials, bio-energy and bio-refinery processes, appliances for the electricity network, personal care products, packaging, furniture, textiles, and tourism activities. Valentina holds a MSc and a PhD in Environmental Sciences. Before becoming a consultant, she was researcher of in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences of the University of Milano-Bicocca and Scientific Officer at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, where she contributed to the development of the Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) methodology and the recommendation of impact assessment methods.
