Melissa Harclerode

 

Dr. Melissa Harclerode has 20 years of experience in sustainable environmental management across several market sectors, including transportation, remediation, water and energy management, solid waste management, and industrial manufacturing.

She specializes in the development and application of integrated assessment approaches related to product or process-specific sustainability metrics and the evaluation of associated environmental, social, and economic impacts. Her consulting and academic research experience spans environmental and social life cycle assessment, benefit cost analysis, and sustainability science.  

Dr. Harclerode has evaluated the development of various sustainability tools and guidance resources. Her expertise has helped inform guidance documents for the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council, Water Research Foundation, and the Sustainable Remediation Forum. She graduated with a PhD in Environmental Management from Montclair State University focusing on triple bottom line methodologies for project-specific sustainable assessment frameworks. Dr. Harclerode is a Board Certified Environmental Scientist in the Speciality of Sustainability Science from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists.
