New Product Development Manager (fractional)

Boundless Impact Research & Analytics (Boundless) is looking for a New Product Development Manager to assist the leadership team in the development of Boundless’ new suite of online sustainability products.

The New Product Development Manager is expected to participate in Boundless’ product discovery activities, product development, and go-to-market efforts. They can work flexibly during business hours between 15-30 hours per week, in close collaboration with the leadership team (CEO, Chief of Staff, and Chief Technology Officer), and with our Product Analyst. This is initially a part-time role at $25 per hour. We aim to convert this position into a full-time role upon the successful launch of our product suite.

This New Product Development Manager will suit candidates who are looking to work closely with the leadership team of a growth stage company, who can own and autonomously manage pieces of the product development of an innovative SaaS / online sustainability platform, and who are passionate about the cleantech industry and/or climate actions.

Boundless has completed assessments of dozens of cleantech products and projects —ranging from renewable energy, circular economy, HVAC and disinfection technologies, bioenergy and bioproducts, and innovative water and wastewater technologies. Our services include Life Cycle Assessment, Techno-Economic Analysis, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Footprint projections, and GHG Scenario Analysis, all designed to help companies validate their performance, mitigate risks, differentiate their products, and attract investment.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience working on new product development at startup(s) or scale-up(s) with an online platform / SaaS product lineup.
  • Hands-on experience of early product development and GTM activities, preferably in environmental impact measurement, ESG data and analytics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of customer discovery methodologies and product-market fit (PMF) validation techniques.
  • Proven experience developing and/or implementing go-to-market strategies, including market research, positioning, and business modeling.
  • Strong communication skills via phone and email.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Proactive and a strong team player.
  • Proficient with spreadsheets, presentations and data modelization.
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

About the Position

  • This position is part-time.
  • This position requires availability during business hours throughout the workweek (including times Tuesday through Thursday).
