Russ Conser

Russ Conser is the co-founder and CEO of Standard Soil (aka Blue Nest Beef). Russ completed a 30-year career at Shell where he was most recently leader of Shell’s “GameChanger” early-stage innovation program, and thus had the privilege of investing in many entrepreneurs with ideas that could change the game of energy.

Russ currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for StarRotor Corporation, on the Selection Committee for the Energy & Industry vertical of iSelectFund.com, and on the Advisory Boards of Autonomous Marine Systems, Qukku, Linear Motion Technologies, and the new AccelerateH20 water technology accelerator in Texas. Russ has recently co-founded a startup setting out to develop a new business model for ‘regenerative’ agriculture that produces healthy and affordable food while creating an array of positive side effects for both people and planet.

Russ was born in Omaha, NE and graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University in 1983.
