John Doupis

 

Dr. John Doupis is a former Fellow of the Joslin Diabetes Center at Harvard Medical School.

Currently, he directs the Diabetes Division and Clinical Research Center of Iatriko Paleou Falirou Medical Center in Athens, Greece as well as the Internal Medicine and Diabetes Department of the US Naval Hospital in Athens, Greece.

Dr. Doupis has served as Tutor for the Diabetes Diploma and MSc in Diabetes at Cardiff University Medical School, UK since 2012.

Diabetes is a chronic, metabolic disease characterized by elevated levels of blood glucose, which leads over time to serious micro and macrovascular complications affecting the heart, blood vessels, eyes, kidneys and nerves.
