MBA Product Development Intern
Boundless Impact Research & Analytics (Boundless) is looking for an MBA Product Development Intern to assist the leadership team in the development of Boundless’ new product development efforts.
The MBA Product Development Intern is expected to participate in Boundless’ customer discovery activities, product development, and go-to-market efforts. They can work flexibly between 15-30 hours per week, in close collaboration with the leadership team (CEO, Chief of Staff, and Chief Technology Officer). This is a paid internship at $25 per hour, running from March 2025 through May/June 2025 (depending on availability, possibility to continue through 2025).
This MBA Product Development Internship will suit candidates who are looking to work closely with the leadership team of a growth stage company, who want to get hands-on experience across all phases of the development and launch of innovative SaaS / online platform products, and who are passionate about the cleantech industry and/or climate actions.

Boundless is an industry research and environmental impact analytics firm that provides objective and actionable information to move investment dollars more quickly toward clean technologies and climate solutions. Our science-based, data-driven approach is grounded in the proven methodology of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Techno-Economic Analysis (TEA). The scores and metrics derived are trustworthy and reliable because they are unbiased and validated by external industry and/or scientific experts. Boundless has the capabilities to perform rapid (and screening) LCA and TEA, LCA consistent with ISO 14040, and Scope 1,2,3 emissions inventories.
We are rapidly expanding as we extend our environmental impact analytics to a growing customer base of investors, companies, and large institutions. We are also developing online data platforms for our company and investor subscribers, to provide access to our climate impact scores, reports and analytics, and industry benchmarks. Responsibilities
- Customer Discovery
- Identify relevant customer discovery targets to support product-market fit (PMF) efforts and identify user pain points.
- Analyse previous customer discovery meetings to surface key trends and help inform what additional customer discovery efforts should be.
- Product Development
- Research and analyse Boundless’ market and its competitive set for its new SaaS / online platform products to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
- Assist in defining product requirements and user experience needs based on research and customer discovery.
- Research and assist in the development of frameworks for product validation, customer segmentation, and pricing strategies.
- Go-to-Market (GTM)
- Support go-to-market strategy development, including competitive analysis and market positioning.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, research, business development, marketing) to plan and implement GTM actions.
- Present findings, recommendations, and progress reports to leadership on a regular basis.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an MBA program with a focus on product development, environmental/climate data and analytics, or entrepreneurship.
- At least 3 years of experience working at startup(s) or scale-up(s) with an online platform / SaaS product lineup.
- Hands-on experience of product development and GTM activities, preferably in environmental impact measurement, ESG data and analytics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of customer discovery methodologies and product-market fit (PMF) validation techniques.
- Proven experience developing and/or implementing go-to-market strategies, including market research, positioning, and business modeling.
- Strong communication skills via phone and email.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with MS Excel and data modelization
- Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
