Zachary Mazur
Senior Technical Consultant
Zach brings a decade of experience across the energy and wastewater industries. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's of Science in Biological Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where his thesis focused on the Techno-Economic Analysis of algal wastewater treatment and biofuel production.
Zach has held engineering roles at Gross-Wen Technologies, Aquacycl, and LanzaTech. At the first two, he worked as an Applications Engineer designing solutions for complex wastewater challenges — including systems that capture carbon, reduce energy consumption, and recover valuable byproducts. At LanzaTech, he served as a Sales Support Engineer conducting Techno-Economic and Life Cycle analyses for industrial gas fermentation systems that convert captured emissions into fuels and chemicals.
