Senior Technical Consultant
Boundless Impact Research & Analytics (Boundless) is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to provide technical oversight, quality assurance, and methodological guidance across research and analytics projects. This role ensures the integrity, transparency, and repeatability of Boundless’ Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Techno-Economic Analysis (TEA), and environmental impact analytics.
The Senior Technical Consultant will serve as a technical authority supporting research quality, strengthening Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) systems, validating analytical methods, and ensuring deliverables meet Boundless’ scientific rigor and customer expectations.
This position is ideal for a highly experienced LCA/TEA practitioner who excels in technical review, scientific guidance, and continuous improvement of analytical systems.

Responsibilities
- Lead and strengthen implementation of Boundless’ QA/QC framework across research and analytics projects.
- Review LCA/TEA models, assumptions, conversion factors, and calculations for accuracy, completeness, and methodological consistency.
- Ensure all analytical work is fully documented, reproducible, and stored for institutional knowledge and scalability.
- Validate completeness of calculation backups and project files to support repeatability and auditability.
- Develop, refine, and enforce QA/QC checklists, documentation standards, and review protocols.
- Identify risks to analytical integrity and proactively implement corrective actions.
- Provide expert guidance on LCA, TEA, carbon accounting, and environmental impact modeling methodologies.
- Ensure analyses align with ISO standards, best practices, and Boundless methodological frameworks.
- Advance Boundless benchmarking datasets and modeling approaches to reflect evolving technologies and market needs.
- Support development of standardized assumptions, datasets, and modeling templates.
- Ensure technical deliverables clearly communicate assumptions, methodology, and results.
- Assist with developing and improving clear environmental and financial impact metrics.
- Review client-facing reports, proposals, and presentations for technical accuracy and clarity.
- Support alignment between client expectations and analytical scope to prevent rework and scope creep.
- Attend project calls, respond to customer questions, demands, and needs.
- Support Boundless documentation through PowerPoint presentations and technical research reports.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in engineering, industrial ecology, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Life Cycle Assessment, Techno-Economic Analysis, sustainability analytics and
- demonstrated expertise with ISO-compliant Life Cycle Assessment and Techno-Economic Analysis methodologies.
- Extensive experience performing technical reviews and quality assurance of analytical models.
- Strong understanding of carbon accounting, ESG metrics, and cleantech systems.
- Experience managing large datasets and ensuring reproducibility and transparency of analyses.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to scientific integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting third-party verification or external technical review.
- Familiarity with emerging climate technologies (energy storage, circular economy, low-carbon fuels, food & agriculture).
- Experience developing modeling standards, benchmarking datasets, or methodological frameworks.
- Prior experience advising research teams or serving in a technical oversight role.

- Remote, with periodic coordination meetings.
