This workshop educated a group of family offices, private investors, and foundation executives on the quickly evolving and complex world of healthcare investing. Many family offices are increasingly active or interested in healthcare investing, and many are doing it with an “impact” lens, where their personal values or interests drive their investment choices and decisions. Speakers were provided a window into the kinds healthcare investments that are achieving both remarkable financial and social/environmental returns, as well as educated attendees on the kinds of diligence they need to do to ensure smart risk management.
Investment and Healthcare experts led panels and group discussions on impact investing in African healthcare systems, neurodegenerative diseases, community health and elderly care.
